OA Exchange Server Email Restrictions and Filters
UF Bridges uses Microsoft Outlook as its Email client and connects to the Microsoft Exchange server (AAVP99.ADMIN.UFL.EDU) maintained by Operations Analysis at Tigert Hall. Below are the restrictions and filters applied to emails that pass through OA’s server. Emails that meet the restriction and filter criteria are quarantined on the email server. These emails can be retrieved upon request. Please contact Bridges workstation support.
Restrictions
Email size limit is 7 megabytes (7168 KB).
Filters
Sexually explicit subject lines and common misspellings used by spammers as well as a few subject lines used by popular viruses are not allowed. A complete filter list is available from Operations Analysis.
Email with the following filenames are not allowed. Current filters include:
